Scottish Sports Futures Understanding trauma, behaviour, and the power of positive relationships

Why this award?

This module aims to upskill and increase the knowledge of young people who are working with other young people in a sport and physical activity environment on the importance of human connection and the relationship between adverse childhood experiences, sport and physical activity.

Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Explore behaviour, stress, and the brain.
  2. Explore trauma and its effects.
  3. Explore the power of sport and physical activity.
  4. Explore human connection and the importance of relationships.

Young people aged 16+ 

What time commitment is required?

2.5 hours

Is the award externally accredited?

The award is delivered and internally verified by SSF. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion.
