(from YouthLink Scotland)
Guidance for the safe delivery of youth work services in Scotland has been updated, following the Scottish Government’s announcement that Covid-19 restrictions are to be eased slightly from 12 March.
Covid-19: Guiding Framework to support the delivery of youth work services includes updated guidance on the following:
- Youth work outdoors – will be permitted from 12 March with a maximum of 15 individuals (inclusive of youth workers)
- Providing one-to-one support to vulnerable young people (indoors or outdoors) will be permitted to continue
- Youth work in schools – will be permitted to be delivered as part of the school day/curriculum with school-aged children and young people
- Detached youth work – will be permitted in order to meet local need
To coincide with the updated guidance, we have also updated our supporting statement which sits alongside the guidance: Supporting young people through and out of the pandemic, which gives an outline of the support and engagement youth work has provided young people over the past year.
