YouthBank Scotland’s training programmes are based on strategic and practical knowledge of youth participation and engaging young people as financial decision makers and organisational leaders developed over 15 years across the UK.
Our training enables young people to play active leadership roles in their communities. YBS can offer both nationally accredited and non-accredited training based around the needs of your organisation.
Decision Making Skills One Awards (Formerly OCN) level 2 - SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) level 5 - one credit; Leadership Skills One Awards level 2 - SCQF level 6 - one credit; Young People’s Grant making One Awards level 1 and 2 - SCQF level 4 or 5 - one credit

Aimed in particular at young people involved in setting up and running a YouthBank, but wider applications of leadership and decision-making skills are also supported.
A YouthBank is a youth-led group that sets up and distributes a grant fund to other young people to improve their local communities. Each YouthBank is set up to suit its community’s needs so while they are all based on the same values they look different.
Approximately 60 hours of learning to complete all four accredited awards: Introduction to Young People’s Grant Making Skills (10 Hours), SCQF levels 4 & 5; Grant Making (30 hours), SCQF level 5; Developing Decision-making skills (10 hours), SCQF level 5; Developing Leadership Skills (10 hours), SCQF level 6
