The programme is a unique combination of reflective learning and practical activities, which enable learners to connect with their goals and aspirations, whilst helping them to value their own skills. It is delivered by SkillForce Instructors, who are predominantly ex-Services personnel experienced in working with young people.
Programme content includes:
Team-building and problem-solving challenges; Team sports; Outdoor pursuits, including camping out for a night (where possible); First Aid training; Navigation skills; A social action project; Material on Remembrance and respect
Learners complete a log book to record and reflect on their achievements. The log book is a key part of the learning to support greater self-awareness. Participants will gain:

The award programme can be delivered in school time or after school, spread out over a full school year or within a single term. Should a more flexible approach be required it can be tailored to meet specific requirements.
The programme is not currently externally accredited, but participants can gain a number of externally recognised awards as well as the SkillForce Junior Prince’s Award certificate and a digital badge.
